Overall, the Samtredia-Grigoleti road project is divided into 4 sections. The construction of the second (Japana-Lanchkhuti) and fourth sections has already been completed. The third section is 12 km long. Under the same project, 9 bridges and 2 traffic junctions will be built. This road belongs to Lanchkhuti municipality.
The implementation of the project started in 2022.
160 people are employed on the construction of the third lot of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road, including 136 Georgian citizens.
The construction works of the project are carried out by the international company Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd.
The project is funded by the donor organization, the European Investment Bank (EIB), and its budget is 324.6 million GEL.
The international company JV TEMELSU-KOCKS supervises the construction process. The supervisory team at the site checks the conformity of the construction materials and performance of the works, conducts the necessary laboratory tests, quality control, checks the compliance of labor and safety during the course of the works, agrees on the construction work methodologies, checks the execution of the work schedules, the volumes of the works performed, studies environmental and social issues. It also prepares monthly reports and approves technical documentation (drawings, engineering reports).
