About Project

The project envisages restoration of the motorway profile, arrangement of water-carrying, aquifers and artificial structures, complete restoration of technical means of traffic regulation, widening of the vacant land and arrangement of bumpy fences.

Pshaveli-Omalo road is the only access road to Tusheti. It is divided into 8 sections. The agreements are signed in 5 sections.

Procurement procedures are underway for the remaining 3 sections.

The first section of Pshaveli-Omalo highway is planned to be paved with asphalt and concrete. Depending on the terrain, the pavement of the remaining sections will remain unpaved, the damaged areas of the road will be restored and the existing parameters will be improved.

Pshaveli-Abano-Omalo road traffic safety improvement project envisages the restoration of the road profile, the arrangement of water-conducting and artificial structures, the complete restoration of technical means of traffic regulation, the widening of the land clearing and the arrangement of bumpy barriers.

Pshaveli-Omalo road is the only access road to Tusheti. This section is 39.5 km long and includes 6 bridges. The implementation of the project started in 2022 and will be completed in 2024.
